7 Tips from Ayurveda to get rid of Digestive problems with simple changes in Diet

According to Ayurveda majority of diseases have its origin in stomach. Knowingly or unknowingly present generation is taking lot of incompatible food (junk food), which is very harmful for the body.

General rule regarding food intake:

It’s meaning is as follows:

Only half the quantity of the stomach should be filled with food. Quarter part should be filled with water and quarter part should be left alone for the free moment of the air.

Simple Tips to improve digestion

  1. One has to take food only after digestion of previous meal. This will increase the absorption of the food, which ultimately helps for proper tissue metabolism.
  2. Ayurvedic concept of balanced diet is the combination of six tastes (Sweet, Sour, Salt, Bitter, Astringent, Pungent)
  3. All the six taste should be included in the diet. These six taste will have different action which is absolutely necessary for the tissues.
  4. Majority of people like Sweet, Pungent and sour taste. Bitter, pungent and astringent taste are not included in diet.
  5. Bitter taste has got properties to destroy worms, improve memory, clearing throat etc. Astringent taste purifies the blood system and Pungent taste improves digestion.
  6. Ensuring proper Bowel moment is also very important for a healthy person.
  7. Fiber and iron rich fruits and vegetables in the diet. Example: Bitter gourd, Drumstick, Beans, Ladies finger, Brinjal, Carrot etc.
